Mary Smalley has been with the El Segundo School District for over 15 years. She helped open Richmond Street in June of 2000. Mary does everything behind the scenes to keep the school running smoothly. She is an integral member of our Richmond Street team. However, Mary will be retiring on September 4, 2009 and we will miss her tremendously. We wish her many happy and relaxing retirement years with her husband.
Lynette Marcus, our current senior administrative assistant will take over for Mary and Tammy Long, former PTA president will assume Lynette's position. We're very fortunate to have them both in the office.

Ms. Bryant, Beloved Kinder Teacher Passes Away
Lynn Bryant, beloved Richmond Street Kinder teacher passed away after a long battle with cancer on July 27, 2009. Ms. Bryant taught kindergarten in the El Segundo school district for 13 years. She touched the lives of all who met her with her positive spirit and boundless energy. Ms. Bryant had many hobbies and interests and she shared them all with her students and their families. It was not unusual to walk into the classroom and find Ms. Bryant leading her tiny students in some calming yoga exercises so they could "get the wiggles out". Ms. Bryant always looked for the best in each person she met. Everyone she met became her friend. Our Richmond Street family will always remember our dear friend Lynn Bryant and her spirit and positive energy will live on in our hearts. For more information on how to honor Lynn Bryant please see her obituary in the Daily Breeze.
